CHARLIE BROWN IS 3 MONTHS!!

Hudson had started sucking his thumb this month- however he forgot how to do it now, and I haven't seen it back in his mouth since that two day stretch of Thumb sucking. He has the fingers in there all the time though.

Also- Gavin has discovered a Superman-like quality...we're sencing there might be some special powers in their somewhere... ? He hasn't unleased those gifts to us yet. No but seriously, everytime he holds him up in the air- this is what you get, fists clenched and back, head up as though he's looking to aid in some noble rescue just up ahead and his legs straight back flexed like steal! We're looking into a cape.

And of course the daddy snuggle stuff that every mom is a sucker for!

What we do for fun now

...And I'm Spent!

THANKS MR JEWETT!

So, this month my favorite teacher... everyone who had him says the same claim- Mr. Jewett and his beautiful wife Karen... (he has a name as well, It's just difficult for me to call him by it), they came over and delivered Hudson a homemade Adirondack chair of his very own!! Who is this lucky to have such great teachers and friends! It is sooooo cute! so here is Mr Jewett (my 3rd grade teacher) and Hudson! It was a privilege, Thanks you two!! Side note: When people ask me why I LOVE Snohomish schools so much- does this paint a picture!? We are currently collecting the books he read to our class to read to Hudson when he's old enough- GREAT teachers make an impression!

up at nana and papas

We spent a weekend up at camano at Nana and Papa's house- we took Huck to the beach and had a blast. Check out the shot Suzi got of Gavin and Hudsons feet comparison!! Also noteworthy: Gavin's hair shot at the beach! (actually my fault, I should man up and cut it).

Hudson is now two months!! It feels like its been 5 months- I guess thats what sleepless nights does to you. No but truthfully we have been super blessed with a Sweet baby! He is mellow tempered and easy going...cries when overly tired and only to communicate some needs- and when met, he's content. He developes features all the time that resemble both Gavin and I, and we get a good mix of opinions on that. He smiles and roles over from the front to back only. He has NASTY smelling gas- that of an adult...specifically his dad. :) I tell him it will help him make friends with all the boys- (we'll encourage as long as it keeps the girls away!!)
These two months have been a blast! I was listening to the radio one night, to help stay awake, and there was a sara evans song playing that talked about living life up to the fullest- and the lyrics mentioned all the best stuff( I want to do it all, visit paris in the fall...etc)- and one line that I heard for the first time that night (@3 am) was about rocking your baby to sleep- and it gave me an appreciation for the moment...and the season- it's brutal getting up in the wee hours of the morning but as I have been told by many people, it's some of the best moments of life and I am sure I will miss it. Like the smell of brand new baby breath for the first few days - oh man! It was literally like heaven to me. I would stick my nose in his mouth when he would yawn... It was AMAZING. God does know what he's doing- he gets us addicted to little things about them so that we can tolerate the middle of the night, and losing sleep, and being HUGE for 10 months.

In light of the past two months I want to mention how wonderful our friends have been. They have gone above and beyond to help Gavin and I- meals, calling to see if we're ok, working on our computer so I could post this, driving me to Dr apts (We only have 1 car that gavin takes to work so I am stuck at home), and even loaned us a car for the first two weeks of hudsons arrival home (our one car was getting worked on). I have to mention as well that what has been so great about all of these people is that they themselves aren't the type that have extra cars lying around or loads of money for gas and meals for us- they had to sacrifice BIG time, just so we wouldn't have to. It was INCREDIBLE. So, to all of you sweet friends- THANK YOU, That is what Jesus is all about!

hospital

37 hours of Labor, 4 hours Pushing!

I know that I look like death...but it's a proud moment to show the product of HARD work and EXTREME pain!
My team of people ROCK! Thanks to Gavin, my two best friends, Leia and Whitney and the people praying in the waiting room...that waited and waited...

Whit: I will never forget red leaves on that tree with dew...I was totally there. And you're unending motivation and nurturing presence, I could not have done it without you. You calmed ALL my fears.

Leia: I love the part of my labor story where my best friend got kicked out for making me laugh too much "Jesus take the wheel". :) And then swooping in to help out when we were all exhausted to help with pushing. I needed you!

Gavin: You read the whole book of Samuel just to help me sleep- and I loved it! We'll have to work on the coaching part for next time. (It's Push, not Pull). :) Just teasing- you're the best!

Woo Hoo!
